Reuse, reduce,recycle

The 3 Rs of the environment—reduce, reuse, recycle—have been around for some time but many people have grown lax in following them.

Reduce the amount of garbage you produce.

Reuse items as much as you can before replacing them.

Recycle items whenever possible.

This rule is part of the waste hierarchy which is a process used to protect the environment and conserve resources through a priority approach. The aim is to get the most practical benefits from products and to generate the minimum amount of waste.

Garbage is considered one of the biggest environmental problems in our society. Population and consumption grow and, with them, the amount of waste eliminated. Most of the time, garbage is not disposed of correctly and can result in several problems for the environment, such as water, soil and even air contamination.

Every year billions of garbage is thrown into the sea, something that could simply be avoided.

The 3 Rs are a good way to protect the planet, they are based on the necessary rules to follow, for the protection of a planet that has shown us every day how necessary URGENT change is.

(The order in which the 3 R's appear is also important to remember. Firstly reducing , secondly reusing  and then recycling – the order should help to set one's waste reduction priorities. ... Secondly, to Reuse or Repurpose the resource.)

Using the 3 'R's also helps to minimize the amount of space required for landfills where waste is disposed of.
